Welcome to Paddle Journeys, where adventure meets the water.

We're Nick and Sarah, a British couple who have been living in New Zealand since early 2023. Our careers have both been in outdoor education and we are both passionate about paddle sport - whether thats kayak, stand up paddleboard and canoe!

NZ has such amazing paddling opportunities - there is incredible coastline, amazing rivers and stunning lakes. We quickly realised however, that it is tricky to get information about where to paddle. Websites focus around selling guided trips or rentals, and guide books are from the 90s! This website aims to be a resource that allows New Zealanders to get out in their own craft and experience all this country has to offer.
